A Legacy of Quality & Craftsmanship
For fifty years, T. Yorie Corp. has applied our expertise in terrazzo to space-defining projects.
Our seasoned company combines trade-proven craftsmanship with modern techniques and equipment to deliver premiere results every time. We’ve provided some of the largest projects in the country, and no matter the scale, we ensure that every detail is finished to perfection. At T. Yorie Corp. we pride ourselves on our team’s integrity, reliability, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

With you at every step
From bidding and estimation through project management and close out, each project is handled by a single team, which means a single point of contact for clients and no time or information lost to hand-offs.

Quality that Lasts
Excellence is the heart
of everything we do.
From materials and workmanship to project management and execution, we hold ourselves to the highest standards through regular quality checks and a dedication to exceeding OSHA standards. Our experienced superintendents, crews, and office staff take pride in delivering durable, luxury results that withstand the test of time.

The Extra Mile
We believe exceptional results come
from doing more than the minimum.
Our company takes the time to understand the project and expectations. Phased renovations in active lobbies and airports, substrate remediation, shift work, multiple crews, unfavorable logistic & expedited schedules are nothing new to us. Our project managers & field superintendents work diligently on the front-end work to anticipate the challenges and communicate our experienced suggestions for the better good of the project.
From planning to execution, we are always committed to providing work that is responsive and exceeds expectations.

Our Story, Built to Last
Founded in 1976, T. Yorie Corp. has built a reputation
for time-tested quality and exquisite results.
Spanning three generations, what began as a small terrazzo and tile operation has grown into an industry leader. Thomas A. Yorie (Yorio) Jr. began working with terrazzo alongside his family in Syracuse, New York, all hailing from Northern and Central Italy. After honorably serving as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, he returned to the trade and soon started his company with just a few hundred dollars. Through hard work, perseverance, and exceptional skill, he trained many fine craftspeople as the business expanded. By the early 1980s, the company was completing large-scale projects for schools, banks, retail, and other commercial clients across several states. By the time of his retirement, the company had performed tile, terrazzo, and stonework at the majority of casinos in Pennsylvania.

Award-Winning Craftsmanship
National Terrazzo & Mosaic Association
We’re honored to have been recognized by the National Terrazzo & Mosaic Association (NTMA) for our excellence in craftsmanship and design. Our work on the Newark Liberty Airport Terminal A earned 2024’s Terrazzo Project of the Year, and other installations including those at Hudson Square in Manhattan and the Museum of the American Revolution have likewise garnered NTMA honors.

Leadership Rooted in Craftsmanship
Decades of experience and a shared commitment to quality guide every project we take on.
Joe T. Iorio
Joe T. Iorio
PresidentJoe T. Iorio is President of T. Yorie Corp. and proudly represents the third generation of Iorio leadership in the terrazzo industry. Raised in the business founded by his father, he developed an early connection to the trade through both field and administrative work. This hands-on foundation shaped both his technical understanding and his lifelong passion for the craft of terrazzo.
Throughout his career, Joe has remained deeply engaged in the industry, holding leadership roles across several key organizations. He currently serves as a Trustee for the New York City and New Jersey Terrazzo Welfare and Pension Funds, Vice President of the Terrazzo Association of the North East States, and an Officer for the Promotional Funds of New York & New Jersey. He previously served on the board of directors of the National Terrazzo and Mosaic Association (NTMA) from 2019 to 2025, and is Co-Chair of the NTMA Maintenance Committee as well as a member of the Zone 1 Membership Committee. In addition, he has participated in numerous panels and speaking engagements promoting the terrazzo craft and its continued growth.
In his day-to-day role, Joe takes a hands-on, collaborative approach to leadership. He works closely with project managers, estimators, and the in-house accounting team, overseeing overall office operations across the company’s locations. He is also regularly present in the field, visiting active projects alongside superintendents throughout the Northeast.
Joe’s leadership style is rooted in respect for the collective expertise of his team and a commitment to continuous learning. As he puts it, “We are very fortunate—we all have a strong respect for each other’s knowledge and expertise, and we learn and lean on each other. This is a broad, evolving trade, and each day can present a new scenario. I believe it would be foolish to think you are an expert on every facet, so we surround ourselves with people who can fill those gaps for the greater good of the company and our customers.”
Brian Brinker, Jr.
Brian Brinker, Jr.
Vice PresidentBrian Brinker, Jr. brings decades of hands-on experience and industry knowledge to his role as Vice President. He began his career in the terrazzo trade at nineteen as an apprentice and steadily advanced through the ranks, earning recognition for his work ethic, technical skill, and leadership. After years of working closely with Mr. Yorie, Brian became a shareholder in 2013. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to developing others, personally training many of the company’s foremen and field personnel.
Brian is widely respected for his expertise in field operations and currently serves on the Technical Committee of the National Terrazzo and Mosaic Association (NTMA), where he contributes to the development of industry standards and installation guidelines. He has led some of the largest terrazzo projects in the country, including nationally recognized installations requiring complex techniques and advanced craftsmanship.
In his current role, Brian oversees all field operations, working closely with road superintendents to manage workforce planning, scheduling, quality control, and project execution. Known for his efficiency and attention to detail, he ensures that every project is completed safely and to the highest standards.
Reflecting on both T. Yorie Corp. and the terrazzo industry, Brian notes: “The trade and systems of terrazzo have evolved over the years to adapt to the design community and changing project conditions. However, one thing remains constant: we are contracted to deliver the best possible product while remaining mindful of schedule demands and maintaining an efficient, safe workflow for our crews. I am proud that we have the field personnel, company structure, vendor relationships, and technical knowledge to consistently achieve that goal.”
